OMAS:WORKS for Architect James Dart
Initiated in the early 90s, Paul Taylor Dance Company hired Architect James Dart to provide their growing dance studio a new space. In early 2009, the company entered a long-term lease for a new studio and headquarters in the Lower East Side, New York City.
Teaming up again with their long time mentor, OMAS:WORKS worked with James Dart’s studio, DARCH, throughout the Design, Documentation and Construction Phases of the project. Set on the second floor of the original 1955 Corlears Hook Project at the corner of Grand and Madison Streets, this 12,000 square foot renovation opened its doors to its Dancers in time for the Winter 2009/2010 Seasonal Performances.
