180: BDI Storage

This building in Center Moriches, NY on Long Island, is located on an L-shaped lot that wraps a County-managed recharge basin.

The building is intended to read as a singular glowing volume resting on a darker mass.  A breezeway passes through its core, with light descending from a skylight above, inviting physical engagement with the building that reaches beyond the simplicity of its program.
